well put.
when it comes to school, honestly i barely even study. but when it comes to finding out information on my own and at a subject that matters to me, i do whatever i can to find out everything there is to know. for me, there's a big difference between studying for school and reading & finding out whatever you need by your own. i think it's even more.. 'pleasing' when you know you find out by yourself, and not from some teacher.. you know?

I totally know; I'm the same way. I think I did 50% of my elective classes through independent study lol. I love getting firsthand experience too.
